Wineguard Pinnacle

This receiver is generally used with RV’s, but is sometimes used for home use.  They are very complicated but feature built in TI filter, on-screen displays and eight event programmable timer.

HOW TO PROGRAM A SATELLITE:

1. Start on a satellite with the same polarity as the one you are programming.

2. Press select twice.  You will see the “Option Menu Pg. 2” on your screen.

3. Press 3 for the Installation Menu.

4. Then press 5 for Copy Sat.  The sat name will be highlighted.  Use up/down arrows to scroll through the names if it is different from the satellite you are on.

5. To the right of the sat name will be a degree number.  Press right arrow to highlight the number.  Then use up/down ARROW to change the degree number to the location of the satellite you want to program.  NOTE:  The receiver will only give the degree numbers in .5 increments.  If the new satellite position is 105.3 then go to 105.5.

6. Press select to add new satellite to satellite menu.  “New sat added” will flash on the screen and then the Installation Menu will come back.

7. Press 1 for Set Target Positions, then press 8 for Calculate New Sat Positions.  Press select to activate.  The new satellite will appear in the Satellite Menu as NEW SAT.  Press view.

8. Now the new satellite must be given a name.  Press sat twice.  You will see “Satellite Menu Pg. 2”.  The first line is “label” and should be highlighted.  If it is not use up/down arrows to highlight label.

9. Then press right arrow and you will see “?? New Sat” with a pointer under the first question mark.                                        

10. Use up/down arrows to change the character and right arrow to move positions.  The label consists of a two-character abbreviation and ten characters for the satellite name.

11. After completing the label press select to save.
