This receiver features an on-screen menus, built in TI filter, UHF remote, C-Band/Ku-Band compatibility, dual LNB compatible, 4-event/2-week timer, dual feed compatibility. It also features Quiktune, up to 10 channels can be parentally locked out, 6 hour sleep timer, 2 sets of A/V outputs and up to 160 programmable favorite channels.
1. Go to a satellite that is next to or near to the satellite to be programmed. 2. Select a channel that is active on the satellite that is to be programmed and on the satellite that you are starting from. 3. Follow the proper procedure: -If you are starting from a satellite with the same format, then tap EAST or WEST until a different picture or black screen appears. -If you are starting from a satellite with the opposite format, then tap EAST or WEST until the picture is gone. Then press TUNE, 2, then VIEW to reverse the polarity. A picture should appear, if one does not then continue moving east or west until a picture or black screen does appear. 4. Verify that the picture is correct. If it is, then go to step 5. Otherwise, continue moving east or west until the correct satellite is found. *Note* When moving across several satellites to find the correct satellite the polarity may reverse. Press TUNE, 2, then VIEW to reverse it back. 5. After finding the correct satellite there are three methods of storing the satellite. 1. Use a satellite name that is already stored into the memory, to use this method go to option 1. Be sure to use a satellite name that is an old or an unavailable satellite, so you do not lose a satellite they watch. The new satellite would not be stored under the correct satellite name 2. The second method is to use a pre-programmed name that is not stored, to use this procedure go to Option 2. The new satellite would not be stored under the correct satellite name using this method either. 3. The third method is to add a custom name into memory, to use this method go to Option 3. This method you may be add the correct name in the memory. 1. Press MENU and this will display the Main Menu on the screen. 2. Press 2 for Reprogram Satellite. It will display Reprogram A Single Satellite Sat Name (F2). Use channel up/down arrows to change the name in parenthesis to get a satellite name that is not currently used to watch programming. If you are not sure if they use any of the satellite names, then press CANCEL to exit the menus and move to a satellite to check it. If you find a name to use, then start over since you moved off of the satellite to be programmed. If you cannot find a satellite name to use, then use Option 2 or Option 3 to store the satellite. 3. Otherwise, you should be on the satellite to be programmed and there should be a name in the parenthesis that you can use to store the satellite. If so, press ENTER. It should display Successful and then return to the picture. 4. This completes the process. 1. Press MENU to display the Main Menu. 2. Press 7 for the Installation Menu. It may ask for a password that is 3573. 3. The Installation Menu will be displayed. Press 1 for Program Satellites. 4. The Satellite Store menu will be displayed on the screen (see Figure 1). *NOTE* This is a list of the pre-programmed satellites. The satellites that are stored have a square to the left of the abbreviation. You can use any of the names as long as you do not use it to watch programming. To switch pages to get a different list of satellites, use left/right arrows (east/west). To select a satellite on the current page, then use channel up/down to move the arrow beside the name. --------------------------------------------- SATELLITE STORE F2 SATCOM- F2 *USE UP/DOWN ARROWS, LEFT/RIGHT 4. Using left/right arrows and channel up/down arrows to move the arrow to a satellite name that you do not watch. (Remember: the satellite name can have a square beside it as long as the satellite is not used). 5. Press CALL, if the name had a square beside it, then it is going to display; Warning, Satellite Already Programmed Do You Want To Reprogram?. Press ENTER to override this warning. 6. The programming screen will be displayed now. It will have the name of the satellite and channel along with skew, polarity, dish at 0000, etc. on the screen with the picture behind the writing. 7. If the picture that you previously tuned in is there, then press ENTER. Then press CANCEL or VIEW to exit the menus. 8. If there is no picture behind the writing, then check the following: -Make sure it is on an active channel. -Press TUNE, 2, then VIEW to reverse the format. If reversing the format did not bring in a picture, then press TUNE, 2, then VIEW again. -Then press ENTER to store
the satellite, even if the there is no picture. Then start over at Programming a
Satellite and when you are ready to store the satellite use option 1 and

F2 SATCOM- F2 *USE UP/DOWN ARROWS, LEFT/RIGHT 5. Using left/right arrows and channel up/down arrows move the arrow on the screen to the first set of asterisks. Usually the asterisks start under satellite S2. 6. Press setup. The first and second asterisk will change to A1. The A will be blinking. 7. Use channel up/down arrows to change the first letter to the appropriate letter for the satellite. 8. Use west to move the cursor over to the number 1 and then it will blink. Use channel up/down arrows to change the 1 to the appropriate number of the satellite, if necessary. 9. Continue steps 7 and 8 for the rest of the name if necessary. 10. Press ENTER. The characters will stop blinking and the unused asterisks will disappear. 11. Press CALL. 12. The programming screen will be displayed now. It will have the name of the satellite and channel along with skew, polarity, dish at 0000, etc. on the screen with the picture behind the writing. 13. If the picture that you previously tuned in is there, then press ENTER. Then press CANCEL or VIEW to exit the menus. 14. If there is no picture behind the writing, then check the following: -Make sure it is on an active channel. -Press TUNE, 2, then VIEW to reverse the format. If reversing the format did not bring in a picture, then press TUNE, 2, then VIEW again. -Then press ENTER to store the satellite, even if the there is no picture.
