HOW TO PROGRAM A SATELLITE

1. Go to a satellite that is next to or near to the satellite to be programmed.

2. Move the store switch [located on the back of the receiver in the lower-left corner] to the “ON” position. Caution: there is also a master/slave switch near the store switch, it may cause all channels to go snowy if moved.

3. Press SELECT on the front of the receiver until  “Program Satellite Position Mode” is displayed on the screen.

4. Wait a few seconds and the screen will display “PRESS STORE TO START AUTO PROGRAM”

5. Do Not Press the Store Button. Press CLEAR on the remote and “SELECT NEXT SATELLITE TO BE PROGRAMMED” will be displayed on the screen.

6. Press SAT and then the satellite name and the satellite number of the satellite to be programmed (i.e. SAT Spacenet 1). The name of the satellite should appear on the screen or receiver. It may display “Old location exists, move to new location”.

7. Use channel up/down to select a channel that will be active on the satellite to be programmed.

8. Press SATELLITE UP/DOWN on the front of the receiver in the direction of the satellite to be programmed.

9. Possible Problem: You are picking up the satellites with the opposite polarity. [There does not seem to be a way to reverse the polarity with one button. It must be skewed up or down to reverse the polarity.] The easiest way to find the correct satellite is to return to Step 6 and use a different satellite that has the opposite polarity.

Note: If you are starting from a satellite with the same polarity then there will be a picture where you are starting. If you are starting from a satellite with the opposite polarity then there will not be a picture where you are starting.

10. After you find the satellite to be programmed, press STORE on the front of the receiver.

11. Press select until all writing is off the screen.

12. Move the store switch to “OFF” on the back of the receiver if it was in the off position to begin with.

14. This completes the programming process.
