The
DSZ 100 features C/Ku-Band compatible, color on-screen displays, up to 45 satellites can
be programmed, 150 favorite channel memory, S-Video output, parental control by,
satellite, channel or category, dual LNB compatible and a UHF remote. The DSZ 200 has the same features plus a built in
TI filter and programmable multi-mode event timer.
Blue =
Buttons on Remote or Receiver 1. Go to the satellite you
want to reprogram. If you are not getting a picture, use RIGHT/LEFT ARROWS until you find a picture and identify what
satellite you are actually on. If it is not
the one you are looking for, use RIGHT/LEFT ARROWS until
you find the correct satellite. If you are getting a picture, identify what
satellite you are actually receiving, then use RIGHT/LEFT ARROWS until
you find the correct satellite.. **If
you cannot find the correct satellite using this method, then see Programming a New
Satellite. ** 2. Press MENU. You will see
Mode Menu. The pointer should be
at User Mode. If it is not, use UP/DOWN ARROWS until
the pointer is at User Mode. Then
press ENTER. 3. You will then see the
User Mode menu on the screen. Tap
DOWN ARROW until the pointer is at line number 5 for
Video/Dish Fine Tune. Then press ENTER. 4. The Video/Dish Fine
Tune menu will now appear on the screen. The
pointer will be at Video Fine Tune. Tap
DOWN ARROW until the pointer is at Dish Fine Tune. Then press ENTER. INPUT PASSWORD will appear on the
screen. Using the number buttons on the remote press 6-7-8-9. DO NOT PRESS ENTER. Make sure the picture is at the clearest
point by using RIGHT/LEFT ARROWS, then press ENTER. The polarity
will now tune automatically. When it is
finished DISH POSITION UPDATED will appear on the screen. **If you lose the picture
after the polarity tunes automatically you will need to tune the Polarity Manually. HOW TO ADJUST POLARITY MANUALLY 1. Press MENU. You will see
Mode Menu. The pointer should be at User Mode. 2. Tap DOWN ARROW until the pointer is at Program Mode. Then press ENTER.
INPUT PASSWORD will appear on the screen. 3. Using the keypad on the
remote, press A-B-C-E. You should see
the Program Mode menu on the screen. 4. Use DOWN ARROW until the pointer is at line number 3 for Channel
Update. Then press ENTER. You
will see the Channel Update menu on the screen. 5. Move the pointer down to
Polarity Move by tapping DOWN ARROW. Then use RIGHT/LEFT
ARROWS until the best picture is obtained. Then press ENTER
to store polarity settings. HOW TO PROGRAM A NEW SATELLITE: 1. Go to a satellite next to
or near the one you want to program. It is
much easier if you start on a satellite that is the same polarity format. 2. a. If you start on a satellite with the same polarity format, tap the RIGHT/LEFT ARROWS on the remote until you find the correct
satellite. Then go to Step 3. b. If you start on a satellite with the opposite polarity format, tap RIGHT/LEFT ARROWS until you lose the picture. Then press MENU. You will see Mode Menu. The pointer
should be at User Mode. Tap DOWN ARROW until the pointer is at Program Mode. Then press ENTER.
INPUT PASSWORD will appear on the screen.
Using the keypad on the remote, press A-B-C-E. You should see the Program Mode menu
on the screen. Use DOWN
ARROW until the pointer is at line number 3 for Channel Update. Then
press ENTER. You will see the Channel Update
menu on the screen. Move the pointer down to
Polarity Move by tapping DOWN ARROW. Then use RIGHT/LEFT
ARROWS until the best picture is obtained. Then press ENTER
to store polarity settings. 3. Press
MENU. You
will see Mode Menu. The pointer should be at User Mode. Tap DOWN ARROW until
the pointer is at Program Mode. Then
press ENTER. INPUT PASSWORD will appear on the
screen. Press A-B-C-E. You should see the Program Mode menu
on the screen. Use DOWN
ARROW until the pointer is at line number 2 for Satellite Update, then
press ENTER. See

New Satellite 4. The pointer should be at
Add New Satellite. If not use UP/DOWN ARROWS until the pointer is at Add New Satellite. Using the keypad on the remote, press the correct
satellite name. 5. Tap DOWN ARROW until the pointer is at Format. Use RIGHT/LEFT ARROWS until
the correct format is shown. Use Four
GHZ 2 for Galaxy type satellites and use Four GHZ 1 for Spacenet or
Telstar type satellites. 6. Tap DOWN ARROW until the pointer is at Sat Type. Then use RIGHT/LEFT
ARROWS until the correct type is shown. Use
Galaxy for Galaxy type satellites (ex: G1, G5, M2, GE1) and use Spacenet,
Telstar, and Satcom for Spacenet, Telestar, and Satcom type
satellites (ex: C1/F1, G9, S4, GE2, GE3). 7. Now press UP ARROW until the pointer is back to Add New Satellite
and then press ENTER.
You should see a line that says Go to this line and press enter. Use UP/DOWN ARROWS until the pointer is at that line and then press ENTER. 8. You should now see:
