(This is a receiver and dish positioner. It will have a separate descrambler)

BUTTONS ON THE RECEIVER

  • Power - On or Off
  • East and West - Positions the dish.
  • Format - Used to select Horizontal or Vertical polarity.
  • Band - Use to select C or Ku band.
  • Scan switch (on bottom of receiver) - Used to scan channel range when aiming the antenna.

KNOBS ON THE RECEIVER

  • Audio Mode - When in either (a) or (b) selected, its in Mono mode; the appropriate jack on the back needs to be used and appropriate knob on front used to adjust. When (mat) is selected its in Matrix mode. When (dis) is selected its in Discrete mode.
  • Audio A and B - Used to adjust the audio subcarrier frequency. Indicator lights show active control.
  • Fine Tune - Used to adjust the fine tuning on a channel.
  • Channel Selector - Use to change channels.
  • Polarity - Use to adjust the skew.

METERS AND INDICATORS

  • Signal Strength - Displays the strength of the signal received. Used as an aid in aiming the dish or, as an overall indication of system performance.
  • MTR - It will light indicating that the servo motor is moving. It will stay lit if the servo motor limit has been reached.
  • Logging Scale - Indicates where the antenna is positioned. The range is from 1-99; sometimes the electrical stops on the dish will be set in, making the range from 3-97.

How to change satellites. The customer will have a list of log numbers that correspond to different satellites.
