No, you can’t use one company’s equipment to receive programming from the other company as each system is designed to operate exclusively with certain satellites hovering over the Earth. The satellites for DIRECTV and DISH Network are located in two different locations, and the signals for each company cannot be decoded by the other company’s receivers.
